Bath House for Cape Canaveral
The natural swamp landscape of the florida keys is constantly fought with drainage changing soft topography into hard industrial plains. The building exploits this duality by implanting structure into the ground, embedding the building in the land. The project offers this same sensual qualities to the incongruous occupants of Cape Canavaeral.
The sinuous relationship between ground and ceiling encourages unexpected interactions between the body and the building. The bath house at once exposes and uncovers, like a partially removed garment.
